Life has its own money bank. Our values are determined
there.
We presume that the value of every one of us is determined
by life, but actually that bank is not governed by life. Its master is us, ourselves.
We are the authors of the value we give ourselves. We think
we are “worth” something, or “donot worth a lot”. It doesnot only depend on how much we love
ourselves, it is a matter of how much we accept, how much we appreciate our
being. Some of us are conscious of their divinity... But most of us are not.
The clue to understand how much we think we are worth is
hidden in the small prices we determine for our actions in life, or the value
for spending a potion of our time.
Most of the time, we find that we have so many time to
waste, that we say “yes” to everyone, not regarding if that yes is appreciated
or not.
Or we perform an action that is so easy for us to do, that
we throw away many many favours into air, not even asking really where they
really go to.
Or we have given a value to some people previously,
and doing something for them is priceless. We give away pieces of our being free
of charge, feeling good just because that precious one will appreciate us.
Then one day, we find ourselves complaining about:
-how we have wasted time for this, and that,
-how people treat us as if we are a bowl of rubbish,
-how people we think are not of much value are the center of
the universe,
And the list goes on...
All that is because we are afraid of not being
appreciated...
Paradoxal it is; we are the ones who are not appreciating
ourself indeed, waiting to be appreciated by others...
But if we set ourselves a value from the start, then it is
much easier for us to say “no”, or to think about what our “yes” means. And for
that, all we need to do is not to fear,
not be afraid of being left alone.
Don’t be afraid...Just go out and set your price... Moneywise,
timewise, anythingwise...Knowing your blacks and whites...Being wise...
Then let the bank do its work...
