Man is getting more and more civilized, but more and more we encounter social histeria, which we label uncivilized.
That great human paradox...
Mankind is doing all he can to be “happy”…All his clever inventions are for a “better” life… He is continuously working on his mind to make the world a “healthier” one…He is spending all his effort on a “good life”.
Unfortunately, he is more and more depressed. That healthy, good, long life that he is longing for seems to be running away from him…
The world is getting more and more stressed, more and more dirty, worse and worse…
While trying to “clean” the world, we are continuously polluting. We have cleaner homes, we are so afraid of the dirt that is natural that we are inventing artificial cleaning ways that create more and more pollution. We are sure to be healthier if we are counting our steps, our calories, and not thinking of the stress that it is putting on us. We are running, cycling endlessly, then wondering why our minds never stop and leave us some peace. We ask for peace in the world, whereas we are in constant struggle with ourselves. And the saddest of all, while we ask for that worldwide peace, a time is coming that we are finding ourselves wishing the death of those we call our "enemy".
What we have in our hands is a world full of people, getting more and more insane.
One particular character of that insane crowd, is that all its members think they know “it”. Whatever that “ it” is, whether the subject is belief, or politics, or economy, or governmental issues and even art. And they stick to that idea relentlessly. They have a big valid reason for that stubborn attitude: mankind has become more and more “intelligent, or in my words, more and more slave of his intelligence.
Their second attitude is: they all think that all the “others” are stupid.
That radical way of thinking has created “radical” minorities, regardless of "the intelligent" and "the stupid”.
Both groups of radicals, whether stamped intelligent or stupid, are no longer capable of noticing the meaning of existence, because they are busy shouting, fighting, running after all that they believe that will make them “happy”, or running away from all their fears, anxieties. For some, happiness is in this world, for others it is in the after world... Some are afraid of dying, others are in a constant battle with life…
They, who think they are different than each other, have one other thing in common: they all blame "the other" for making this life on earth unworthy of living…None take the blame on himself… They both deny the fact that we are the ones who have created this world that we now grumble about.
The civilized part of us tried to civilize what he called uncivilized for centuries, disregarding the fact that people could be different than each other. They even made those others think that they were primitive and lesser for many years. They were happy to have a control on all those “others”… But today, they cannot stand the idea that those others now want to bring their rules to the arena, thinking that it is now the one and only truth…
The world is One. All the seas, oceans, lands are one. We seem to forget that we have divided them and given them names. We have created borders, we have created nations. All religions have been telling the same thing since ages: we are One. But man has preferred to think that he is The one.
We are all One.
If one part of us suffer, we all suffer.
We are all becoming actors of what we have been watching since years on televisions, during dinner time, between the main course and dessert nowadays, regardless of the level of civilization, intelligence that we think we belong to.
We are living the consequences of what we plant, although many of us hate the idea…
